Here's a list of things to know about this version of Clearspace, including, improvements and fixes since
the previous version, and issues you might find.
Known Issues in 2.5.3
- Images are not shown in published content for instances running on WebLogic Server 9.2.
- Page compression doesn't compress CSS files from /styles/*
- SOAP web services using authentication from a .NET client aren't currently working.
- Possible workaround: It might work to upgrade the wss4j.jar file included with Clearspace (it's in the deployed application's WEB-INF/lib directory). The version currently included isn't the latest.
- Granting Create Document Attachment permission in a sub-space doesn't work if the permission isn't granted at the root space.
- Workaround: Grant the permission at the root, then revoke it as needed in sub-spaces.
- Private messages can not be viewed by their recipient when clustering is turned on.
- It's possible to insert non-image files with the editor's insert image button.
- Granting the create image permission for administrators doesn't grant the permission.
- Incrementing a plugin's database version number causes the system to fail.
- Creating subitems in an unordered list creates a blank line between levels.
- In a clustered environment, granting permission to post to a space blog is not immediately propagated.
- Workaround: Have the user who received the permission log out, then log in again. The user can also wait five minutes for so for the permission to be propagated across the cluster.
- Clearspace does not start after attempting to load a plugin that contains deployment problems.
- A user can bypass moderation by adding their own name in collaboration options as a person who can edit the document, and then approve the document.
- After upgrade from an earlier version, moderation in version 2.5.0 doesn't acknowledge moderation settings made in the earlier instance.
- Workaround: Clear all moderation queues before upgrading (such as by approving or rejecting items in the queue).
- Migrating Clearspace data from a Postgres database to an Oracle database can result in some tables being deleted.
- Revoking permission for "Anyone" to read blogs does not blog reading for guest users.
