Note: To enable Jive Present, you must have the mobile plugin enabled in your community. In addition, for security purposes, Jive Present requires the use of SSL. Therefore, ensure that your Jive Community is configured to utilize HTTPS before enabling Jive Present.

Enable Inbound Traffic

On port 443, enable inbound traffic from 188.93.102.111, 188.93.102.112, and 188.93.102.115 to the application instance.

Activate Jive Present

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Mobile > Jive Present.
  2. Select the Activate Jive Present checkbox.
  3. In the Space Name box, enter the name of the space where you will publish content for your Jive Present users. This will create a new space in the community. Note that the space name is mandatory and cannot be changed. In addition, this space will not be removed from your community when you deactivate or uninstall Jive Present.
  4. Click Save Changes.
  5. Next, configure the Jive Present administrator and end users, as described below.

Configure the Jive Present Administrator and Users

After you have successfully activated Jive Present and designated the space name for it, you'll need to designate the Jive Present administrator and its end users.

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Mobile > Jive Present. If you have successfully activated Jive Present and its space name, you'll see an option for Manage Jive Present Users. Click this link.
  2. From the Group Summary page, browse to the Jive Present Admin group and designate the Jive Present administrator by clicking the Edit icon and adding the user. Note that you can only specify one person as the Jive Present administrator. The administrator is the only user who can upload content to the Jive Present Gateway. If you want the Jive Present Admin to be someone other than the Jive Admin selected by default, be sure to remove the existing Admin and then add the new Jive Present Admin.
  3. Browse to the Jive Present Users group, and add the end users. You can also add a user group so you don't have to add each person individually.
  4. Save your changes.
Note: If you cannot establish the connection to the Jive Present Gateway, you may need to force https traffic to SSLv3.
