Adding Cache Server Threads

If you add more web application nodes to your installation, be sure and increase the number of cache server threads.

Your cache server is configured to use a default number of threads. These threads handle the number of connections from each web app node. You can continue to use the default setting until you add more web application nodes to your cluster. If you start adding additional nodes, you'll want to increase the number of threads. To do this, you'll edit /usr/local/jive/sbin/lib/configure-cache.py as follows:
  • Set max.threads to use 8 threads per web application node.
  • Set admin.max.threads to use 12 threads per web application node.
Note: You need to restart the cache server node for these changes to take effect.
