SSO and Mobile

Internal communities (i.e., communities that typically involve only employees or other internal audiences) with the Mobile plugin don't send user credentials through the Jive Mobile Gateway. Instead, users must register their devices with the Jive desktop application first before mobile access is granted. Users register mobile devices from the Jive desktop application by going to Preferences > Mobile and following the prompts (for more about how to register a device, see the Mobile plugin documentation). After this one-time registration is completed, the device is enabled for mobile access until it is unregistered.

External Jive communities (i.e., communities that typically involve your customers, vendors, and other external audiences) use username/password-based mobile login by default.
