Installing the Jive SharePoint Connector Plugin

  1. Download the Jive SharePoint Connector Plugin and extract the package to a desired location on your environment (such as a new folder on the Desktop).
  2. Log into Jive as an Administrator and navigate to the Admin Console.

  3. Go to System > Management > System Properties.

  4. Add a new System Property named "sharepoint.ip.restrictions".
Important: The value should be set to the IP address(es) of the SharePoint web front end server(s) that will be accessing Jive services. This may need to be the IPv4 and/or IPv6 addresses. Without this property in place, the SharePoint server(s) will not be allowed to communicate with Jive. If there is more than one SharePoint server, please separate the IP addresses with commas.
  5. Go to System > Plugins > Add Plugin.

  6. Click the Browse button, then locate the spintegration.jar that you extracted in Step 1 above.
  7. Click the Upload button.

  8. Once you've installed the SharePoint plugin, you should see a screen similar to the following:

Note: You will likely need to restart Jive before attempting to use the Jive SharePoint External Storage Provider Plugin.
  9. Please see Adding a SharePoint Location for details on configuring a connection from Jive to SharePoint.
Note: Please ensure the solution for the SharePoint Connector has been installed in SharePoint before continuing.
