Collaborating on External Content from Inside Your Community

Start an internal discussion with your team members about external social content.

Fathom Pro makes it easy to take an external post (or posts) and create a discussion, document, or blog post about it inside your Jive community. Simply click the Gear icon next to the post and select Create a Discussion, Document, or Blog Post. From there, you can assign the content a new title, include any notes you have about it, and select the place where you want the content to live in your community.

Note: You can also select multiple items from your Search stream and start a discusssion, document, or blog post from them. Select all of the items you want by clicking the checkbox next to each item, then click the Gear icon at the top of the monitor stream. From there, select Create a Discussion, Document, or Blog Post.

If you want to import something that did not appear in your Search stream, go to Settings > Article Import and paste in the URL. From there, you can select the Search you want to import to, as well as create a title, include an excerpt, designate the content type, and schedule the publish date for the import to occur.
