The Administrative Level allows a SharePoint administrator the ability to turn on/off socialization and to control how Activity Streams can be used (or not used).
| Field Name | Field Description |
|---|---|
| Allow Jive Activity Streams from SharePoint? | Primary checkbox "toggle" used to turn Activity Streams On or Off at a global level. |
| Ignore SSL Certificate Warnings | Ignores the warnings generated when SharePoint does not
accept as valid the SSL certificate used by Jive. This
setting should not be used in a production environment, and
is only intended for testing environment because Disabling
the SSL/TLS validation steps exposes your environment to
man-in-the-middle and DNS spoofing attacks. For example, if the certificate used by Jive is signed for jive.mycompany.com, but for testing, you configure Jive's DNS name as jivetest.mycompany.com, you will receive SSL/TLS validation errors. This setting allows you to disable the SSL validation steps. |
