Configuring LDAP After Initial Setup

To configure your LDAP integration after initial setup, you can modify system properties or rerun the setup tool. You can also change your user synchronization settings.

If you want to change your LDAP settings after initial configuration, you can use the Admin Console to modify the LDAP-related system properties. Alternately, use the following steps to rerun the setup tool if you have an on-premise installation. If your installation is hosted by Jive, you can contact Support instead.

  1. Stop the jive-application service from the command prompt: /etc/init.d/jive-application stop
  2. Edit /usr/local/jive/applications/sbs/home/jive_startup.xml so that the <setup> element has the value "false" (meaning "setup has not been run").
  3. Start (or restart) the jive-application service from the command prompt: /etc/init.d/jive-application start (if you are restarting, use jive-application restart).
  4. Point your browser at Jive using the URL above and rerun the setup tool.
