Quick Start

Learn how to quickly set up integration.

We recommend you set up the integration in this order:

  1. Create the integration user on the Google side, and give them all group permissions. For more information, see Understanding Permissions
  2. Verify Third Party Apps are enabled
  3. Create the integration user in Jive with the same email as the one created in step 1.
  4. Assign the user personal permissions overriding for "manage system."
  5. Log into Jive as the user, navigate to Add-Ons, and install the two Google Drive/Docs add-ons. For more information, see Installing the Jive for Google Drive Files & Docs Add-On
  6. In Storage Management within the Add-Ons page, add a new storage integration, authenticate as the integration user, and choose your options.
  7. Create a space or group and select the Google integration as your storage provider. For more information, see Adding Google Drive as an External Storage Provider
