Enabling Jive Copilot
Admin console > System > Settings > Copilot
Don't forget to press "Save Changes" after changing any setting, so that it can be applied.
Available Setups
There are several different ways you can configure Jive Copilot, depending on who you want to access it and which features you want to use.
Is it enabled?
Jive Copilot can be in one of three states:
- Disabled: Nobody can access the feature, it is completely hidden.
- Standby: This is the default state, the feature is disabled but the icon is present, to inform users of its availability.
- Enabled: Jive Copilot is active and can be further configured.
Which users have access?
When enabled, there are two possible "modes":
- Everyone: All users can access and use Jive Copilot.
- Per Group: A given user will have access to Jive Copilot if they are in at least one group with Copilot enabled.
When in "Per Group" mode, you can configure each group's setting using the following admin screen:
Admin console > People > User Group Summary, then search and select the relevant group
Which features are available?
On the Copilot Settings page, there are features listed that can be enabled or disabled on a community-wide basis.
The list of features is dynamic and will evolve over time. Each feature is described in the Copilot Settings page.
Organizational Context
To help Jive Copilot understand your organization, what it does, and how it uses Jive, you can provide this information as "Organizational Context".
Even just providing the name of the organization and the name of the Jive instance will help, because users will naturally use these names in questions to the bot.
Providing this information as short, factual points is recommended. This will help the LLM to focus.
