Generating client IDs and secrets

Creating a client ID and secret lets you access the Data Export API to use community data in a safe and secure way.

To add a new client ID and secret:

In the user interface, click on your avatar in the upper right corner, and then click Add-ons.
On the Add-ons tab, select Analytics Services, and then click New Client.
Enter the Client Name.

Make sure you use a descriptive name that helps you remember the system it's being used for.
Click Generate Client ID & Secret.

The generated client ID and secret are displayed in the View Client ID and Secret dialog box.
Copy the values and paste them to where you can find.
Click Done to close the dialog box.
