How does Jive Copilot work?
Searching content
Jive Copilot uses your Jive instance's existing search engine and API to find content relevant to your question.
It also searches other sources depending on what you have asked.
Authentication and Access Control
When searching content in your Jive instance, it authenticates using the current user's short-lived access token. This token is only ever exchanged between the authenticated user's web browser and the Jive instance that issued it.
Credentials are never sent to OpenAI or any other third party.
Jive Copilot never has access to the user's permanent credentials (i.e. password).
Using Large Language Models
Jive Copilot uses OpenAI GPT-4o to:
- Determine search parameters based on your question
- Answer your question using search results and other available context
- Summarize documents
Data Privacy
We understand your concerns about data privacy! Your Jive instance may have highly sensitive material stored within it.
All GPT interactions are under our enterprise agreement, which is governed by this privacy policy.
