Installation and Configuration of GDPR Add-on
The GDPR Add-on requires the Jive instance configuration followed by the installation and configuration of the add-on itself. The add-on uses user groups to limit access and determine user permissions.

Installation Steps
A user must have at least Manage System permissions to install add-ons.
Admin Console > Permissions > User Groups
Advanced Admin Console > People > Management > Create User Group
This add-on requires connectivity to Jive Cloud Shared Services.
- Prerequisites for installing GDPR Add-on Jive must be configured before the GDPR Add-on is installed. These configurations are performed by Support or the PS teams.
Configuration Steps
After installation, the GDPR Add-on needs to be configured, particularly through user groups for access control.
Admin Console > Permissions > User Groups

Configuring User Groups for GDPR Add-on

Go to User interface: Your avatar > Add-ons > All Add-ons > Installed.

Find GDPR in the list and click the gear icon > Settings.

Under App Security, click the gear icon next to Anonymize Users.
User groups with access to the add-on configuration are listed here. By default, the All registered users user group is used.

On the Manage App User Groups page, remove All registered users and add the user groups which should have access to the add-on. For example, you might add the
JEP_GDPR_Addon Workflow
user group. -
Save the changes.

Click Configure now.

Click Save and Activate to apply the changes.
To create a user group specifically for the GDPR add-on, follow these steps:

Go to the user group configuration page:
- Admin Console > Permissions > User Groups
- Advanced Admin Console > People > Management > Create User Group

Under General Settings, enter a user group name (e.g.,
JEP_GDPR_Addon Workflow
) and click Create Group. -
Add the concerned administrators as members to this user group.

Save the changes.
Members of the specified user groups can now configure and use the GDPR add-on.
