Advanced Gamification Overview and Administration
Advanced Gamification is a system that allows you to earn points, badges, levels, and possibly even prizes as you accomplish tasks within the Jive platform. This gamification approach adds an element of fun to your community participation, motivating engagement through the rewarding of points and badges for creating, interacting with, or viewing various content types.
Once the gamification community manager sets up missions for you to accomplish, you can start participating in this system.
Key Gamification Terms
-
Missions: A group of actions required to earn a badge and/or points. A single mission can reward you with points, a badge, or both. For more information, see Completing missions.
-
Badges: Fun images posted to your profile after completing a mission, showcasing your accomplishments.
-
Points: A tally of how much you've earned by obtaining badges or completing actions in the community. For more on this, see Earning points.
-
Levels: A benchmark representing your standing in relation to others in the community. You can progress to higher levels by accumulating points.
Administering Gamification
Manage your gamification experience by understanding setup procedures, creating and modifying missions, controlling activity stream input, and more within Jive Gamification.

Starting Gamification Console: If you have Community Manager rights, you can access the Gamification Console from the community site or log in directly with provided credentials.
-
Gamification Console permissions: Jive Community Managers can access the Nitro Studio console through the Manage Gamification link, but additional users can be granted access by adding them as admins in the Gamification Console.
